Sometimes I feel I must be an alien. I keep reading about how napping helps you feel more alert, and how people feel sleepy after eating lunch, and neither of these is true for me! After eating, I feel the opposite of sleepy. I feel alert and I have a lot of energy, *especially* if I eat a lot of carbs, which are metabolized faster. πŸ˜‚ I’m also a caffeine non-responder, so Espressos don’t do anything for my sleepiness or alertness.

My family tried to get me to nap when I was a kid but I never felt like it. I just spent that time reading or playing video games instead.

Lol I'd say it's the beauty of being human: we are very diverse πŸ‘½. This is why I don't buy most research out there because it's done on specific samples but on the individual level they don't matter as much (we gotta resume that science conversation πŸ€“).

The one in your list that surprises me is: feeling energetic after eating. That's metabolically strange but it depends on how much you eat and what type of food. Again opposite to you, I have a lot of energy if I fast, because the body switches to ketones which store much more efficient energy compared to carbs.

This is why I hope everyone gets that the tone of these tips is mostly for "inspiration" and experimentation and never in the tone of "you should do this because it's better" πŸ™
