Just the other day I was thinking that I still *feel* 16 years old. I know more things and I have more skills, but I feel 100% continuity with who I was at 16; my motivations, my core beliefs, etc.

At 16, I didn't feel 12. At 12, I didn't feel 8. Throughout my life before 16, I had a sense that I was a bit different year after year. But looking back I recently realized that that feeling stopped around 16.

Very interesting. This has two faces: it could be that you really lived life in a coherent way with what you want, desire etc. or on the other hand you have been rigidly living based on 16-years old Anna and not letting yourself grow from that version.

Who knows perhaps there is some grey area between the two like most things in life.

Which one is it? ๐Ÿง

I think it's more of the first, but there might be a bit of the second thrown in ๐Ÿ˜›
