I also had (have?) a gut feeling that wireless charging is worse for battery health. Just judging by how HOT my phone gets. 😬 Excessive heat all night, every night can’t possibly have no negative effect, can it?

> the battery charge lasts much longer going from … from 1% → ☠️

Really? 🤔 All the phone I’ve had go from 5% → 0 in the span of a couple of minutes 😅

Battery temperature is something important to monitor but the reality is that you won’t reach in “normal” conditions a battery temperature that will actually harm it. As an example, the only time I got a warning from my phone was when I was walking in Dubai with around 40° and at the same time having my phone out sending a long vocal message.

So yeah I don’t think you are reaching that point if you are charging indoors, unless the battery is faulty.

That generally happens when the battery is “old”. How long have you been using this phone? That may explain it. The battery is so degraded that the OS can’t manage the user experience of its indicator properly

Feels like every phone, even new ones, behave that way! But it could be my impression. I don’t have hard data.

My old Pixel 6a was terrible in the heat. It kept shutting down in the car in the summer… Used to travel with an ice pack just for the phone! 😂

Not only the phone should be charged but the person needs charging probably too 🔋

For that make sure to charge well before 1-2% 😂
